An Interview with Keryn

Question 1: What is your favorite part about presenting?

I love sharing what I have learned through my long career in blogging, journalism and project management. I love talking with people who are trying to hone their skills and really take their blog to the next level. I get energized by the excitement in the room as I see people’s faces go from confused to enlightened by what they learn, as simple truths are demystified and an action plan starts to take shape.

Question 2: What are you most looking forward to as a Plaid St presenter?

I am always thrilled to meet bloggers from a variety of niche markets who want to learn and grow, no matter how long they have been blogging. The best bloggers never stop learning and always know that they have to stay on top of the latest technology, continue to work on their writing/video/photography, and thrive on the relationships they build in this industry. Even as a presenter, I know I will be walking away with new information from those in attendance as questions are asked and information is thrown around the room, as we really dive into working with brands, and how to make an income in this industry.

Question 3: Can you offer a tip to attendees to make the most out of their experience at a conference?

Do not discount anyone you meet, no matter how large or small their site, and no matter their niche. You never know when or where you might work together, how you may be able to help each other grow, or when someone may make all the difference when it comes to getting paid work or not. This industry is all about relationships, so don’t let a single one pass you by.
